Chanted Prayers
Meditation is the heart of Buddhist practice. Kadampa Buddhists meditate throughout the day, whether informally during all our daily activities or in formal sessions, or both. Every day at Tilopa Buddhist Centre regular chanted prayer and meditation sessions, or ‘pujas’ are held, combining meditation, visualisation, and recitation of prayers and mantras.
Most of these sessions are open to the public, and admission is free. Please see the calendar for details and contact us if you have any questions about the sessions.
Weekly practices open to the public include:
- Heart Jewel (daily)
- Wishfulfilling Jewel (1x week)
- Tara Prayers (Liberation from Sorrow) (1x week)
- Meet the Buddhas (Monday nights)
Other very special monthly practices include:
- Offering to the Spiritual Guide (10th & 25th each month)
- Melodious Drum (29th of each month)
